Instead we summarise the patterns in recent sentiment and link out to the centre’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself and form your own view.

How rankings work

Rankings are earned, not sold. They come from a published rubric applied consistently to the data and review sentiment we collect for every centre, and nothing else. Where sponsorship appears on the site, it’s clearly labelled “Sponsored,” displayed in its own section separate from the earned ranking, and it never changes a centre’s score or position on the list.

A business that finds incorrect details on its own listing (a wrong phone number, an outdated address, a service that’s no longer offered) can request a correction to those facts. What a listed business cannot do is edit its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. Those come from our rubric applied to the data, not from the business being rated.

This directory is published by Scout Local Media, an independent Australian publisher that has been helping families and consumers find trustworthy childcare and other local services since 2026. Scout Local Media builds its directories from published reviews and public business records, refreshes data on a monthly cycle, and treats rankings as something to be earned through genuine performance rather than paid placement. The aim is simple: give readers the facts they need to choose well, and give solid local providers the visibility they’ve earned.

Editorial oversight of the rankings sits with Marcus Quinn, Head of Research. Data across the directory is refreshed monthly, and each listing carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see it’s being actively maintained rather than left to go stale.
